Well, I wasn't happy with any of my rehearsals, but I was very pleased with the way the show went.
Here are some pictures:
I filled in on a couple little parts that didn't get in the way of my track as Lady Percy. In this picture I am playing "Carrier 1" -- the lines were difficult because this character represents a lower class. Carrier 1 speaks in prose (it's harder for me to do prose now that I have had so much practice memorizing verse!) and has a sort of cockney feel. The phrasing is all interpolated. Difficult for me, but it was just a short and funny bit.
"Traveller" -- I don't have any lines in this scene. I just get mugged.
My big Lady Percy scene. I am trying to seduce my husband into not going to war.
Everything went well during the show and I had 6 friends show up to support me. Thanks, friends!! I don't know what I'll be doing next. Things are bound to be quiet thru the holidays. Part of me wishes we could just jump into January already because I haven't taken a Shakespeare class since last Spring and I miss it. I am looking forward to brushing up again soon. And hopefully, 2009 will bring some bookings for me!
